Questions

Everything people ask.

How much does window tint cost?

It depends on the vehicle, how many windows, and which film you want. A coupe with four small windows is a different job to a truck with a wraparound rear glass, and nano-ceramic IR film costs more than an entry-level ceramic. Text us the year, make and model along with which windows you want done and you will get a real number, not a range.

How long does it take?

Most single-vehicle tint jobs are done the same day — often in a few hours. Wraps, PPF and ceramic coatings are multi-day, because the prep and the cure time cannot be rushed. You get a realistic window when we quote.

How dark can I legally go in California?

As dark as you like on the rear side windows and the rear glass. The front side windows have to let more than 70% of light through, and the windshield can take a strip down to the AS-1 line. We will tell you exactly where that leaves you before anything is cut.

Will tint kill my phone signal?

Not with the film we use. That was a real problem with old metallic tints, which are effectively a thin metal layer across your glass. Nano-ceramic film rejects heat without any metal in it, so phone, GPS and tyre-pressure sensors are unaffected.

Do you remove old tint?

Yes. Removal is priced separately because it is genuinely more work than a fresh install, especially on rear glass where the defroster lines will lift with the film if it is pulled dry. We steam it off and clean the adhesive properly.

Does tint really make a difference to heat?

A large one, and it is the part customers comment on first. Rejecting infrared is what stops the cabin turning into an oven while the car is parked — the darker look is a side effect, not the mechanism. That is also why a light ceramic film can outperform a much darker cheap one.

Can you tint my house or my shop?

Yes — residential and commercial glass both. Storefronts, offices, warehouses, sliders, bay windows and skylights. If it has glass, we can tint it.

What if it bubbles or peels?

Come back. Film that has been installed correctly does not do either, and if something goes wrong we sort it out. That is easier to say when you are not trying to be the cheapest shop in town.

Where are you and do I need an appointment?

537 S Railroad Ave in Santa Maria, Monday to Friday, 9 to 5. Text (805) 714-7061 first — bay space books out, and vehicles get worked on one at a time rather than parked in a queue.

How do I pay?

Cash, Zelle, Apple Pay and most major credit cards. We also take Klarna and Affirm if you would rather split it. American Express is the one card we cannot take.
